Safety for the aging and child safety
I have made this page available so I can share my experience in home safety. In my years of property management, the most important part of the job is safety. Whether it is a guest at a lodging property, a home I am repairing/remodeling, or a property I am inspecting, job number 1 is to protect the people using, working on, or living on a property. Most accidents are preventable. However, when we use a property every day, week, year, we tend to overlook the environment around us. It is our normal landscape, we step right over the bump in the walkway, it is habit. In my years of teaching, studying, inspecting for safety, I have learned an extra set of eyes is always advisable. The "fresh set of eyes" will often see what those using the area regularly no longer see.
If you would like a "fresh set of eyes" to inspect your aging family members home, or have a new little person to protect, give EcoVision a call. We can discuss your needs, and schedule an appointment. Childproofing and senior safety issues are generally an easy fix. Let me help you see with a "fresh set of eyes".
Below are some links to articles that might be of interest. I will continue to share these types of links as I receive monthly newsletters from The National Safety Council, The Home Safety Council. I am a member of these organizations.
This story directly below is very important for those with chidren in strollers. Please read.

HSC Joins Industry Leaders to Raise Awareness of Amanda's Law...
"Amanda's Law" took effect in New York, requiring the installation of a carbon monoxide detector in every home on the lowest level with bedrooms. With the support of the Home Safety Council and other industry leaders, the Hansen's are taking their campaign to the national level and lobbying for stricter CO requirements in all states.
